Last night my husband and I watched The Ultimate Fighter on Spike on our satellite TV together. We actually just stumbled upon the show after searching through the channels we received through our directtv sports packages. My husband had watched the show before and really enjoyed it and he assured me I would enjoy it, and after my first experience I must say I am a fan. Dana White is the president of the UFC and he is amazing on this show. Every season he brings together 2 coaches who are famous fighters and a lot of fighters to battle for an UFC contract of their own.
On this episode, it was the coach’s challenge. I always enjoy this every year. It paired the coaches Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell against each other in a game of dodge ball. They each had some guys from their team out there to help them. The winning team would get $1,000 for each player and $10,000 for the coach. They played best out of 3 games. Chuck’s team won the first round easily. They ended up fighting it out a bit harder in the 2nd round, but Chuck won again. On the 3rd round, it ended up only Tito and Chuck at the end against each other. They threw several balls at each other before Chuck finally hit Tito. Chuck won the coach’s challenge 3-0 over Tito. He was very excited and was jumping up and down.
Tito said he didn’t mind Chuck winning because he will win next time which is their UFC fight. It is tradition that the coach’s from both teams usually fight at the end of the season. That is the plan again this season and it should be a good fight. It will be on PPV but worth the price to see these 2 battle it out.
