2011 College Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings
In college fantasy football, quarterback is the most important position you will draft. With mobile quarterbacks and spread offenses across the nation racking up massive yardage totals and lighting up scoreboards, who you select as your signal caller for college fantasy football can contribute almost 30% of your team’s point total each week.
Our number one fantasy quarterback for 2011 is a repeat winner of this award. Last season, Keenum suffered in an injury in the opener against UCLA and was sidelined for the year. He was granted another year of eligibility by the NCAA and should be able to put up the record breaking numbers he has in years past. In 2009, Keenum racked up 5,671 yards and threw 44 touchdowns. Because that wasn’t enough, he also rushed for 158 additional yards and scored 4 TDs on the ground. If your keeping count, that gives Keenum 13,741 total yards and 122 TDs in his stellar career.
He’s unlikely to garner the media hype or the attention of NFL scouts like Andrew Luck, but he’s college football’s top “system quarterback” and will put up monster numbers. His closest competitor for this title is East Carolina’s Dominique Davis who’s likely to repeat his numbers from last year running the Texas Tech Spread.
