College Fantasy Football Games: Alma Mater Football League

When it comes to college fantasy football games, very few would be described as “unique.” In most cases, the popular NFL game is translated directly to college football, with the player universes being the only major change.

This is not the case with the Alma Mater Football League.

Instead of traditional college fantasy football, the Alma Mater Football League allows fantasy sports managers the opportunity to field a team of players on the roster of their – you guessed it – alma mater. Coaches select four individual offensive and defensive players from their school’s roster each week and are matched in a head-to-head game against an opponent.

There are playoffs as well, and one overall national champion is crowned at the end of the season. Last year’s top offensive player was Graham Harrell, the Texas Tech quarterback. The top defensive player was Ndamukong Suh, Nebraska’s defensive tackle.

If you love college fantasy football and are looking to take a shot at playing a different type of game, try college fantasy football at the Alma Mater Football League. It’s free to play.
