Princeton Review’s 2009 Party School Rankings

We anticipated that this week was going be the unveiling of the Princeton Review’s annual ranking of the top 10 best party schools.
Turns out we were right. Yeah, we were a little surprised about this ourselves.
While eight schools from Playboy’s 2009 Top 25 party schools list rank in the top 10 according to the Princeton Review, Princeton’s ratings are drastically different from Playboy’s. Below are the top 10 party schools of 2009 according to the Princeton Review:
Penn State University- University of Florida
- University of Mississippi
- University of Georgia
- Ohio University
- West Virginia University
- University of Texas
- University of Wisconsin
- Florida State University
- UC Santa Barbara
After looking over both Princeton’s list and Playboy’s list, the four top places to party seem like Texas, Florida, Wisconsin, and West Virginia – all four schools placed in the top 10 of both rankings. Penn State, Ohio U, Florida State and UC Santa Barbara placed in Playboy’s Top 25, also.
The SEC seems to be the conference to get your party on, according to Princeton. Three SEC schools in the top 5 is a great accomplishment.
In the coming weeks, your buddies at College Fantasy Coach are mulling over the idea of unveiling our own list of top party schools as well. Princeton and Playboy have two different schools at the top. Luckily, you have us here to help settle it once and for all.
Is there a great college party scene that both Playboy and Princeton have missed? Let us know in the comments below.

Penn State is far and away the best party school in the country. Not only is the school massive, it is party friendly, meaning you dont have to be a frat member to party, like at some schools. Anything goes up there, and the cops will usually just guide you along your way instead of the automatic public drunkiness arrest. Happy Valley is the name of the place for a reason, and not one person there is even remotely unhappy. Place is unmatched with partying.

Rollins College near Orlando is a great party school. Not to the level of Penn State in terms of craziness, but the students are all rich and they have lots of money to spend on parties.

Frank- the same can be said for Penn State students (being rich with lots of money for parties.)
Anthony- You’re right, they might ride around on mounted horses but the cops don’t do anything. They will give you directions home if your really bamboozled though. Only football players get UA’s in State College.
