College Fantasy Coach’s Wife
Layla Kiffin is introduced as the wife of Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin.
On Monday, December 1, Lane Kiffin was introduced as Tennessee’s new head coach. Kiffin, 33, and former coach of the Oakland Raiders, is the youngest D-1 head coach in the NCAA, just barely undercutting Northwestern’s Pat Fitzgerald. Kiffin replaces Phil Fullmer, who was forced out after 17 years with the Volunteers.
Kiffin, and his wife Layla, both come from football coaching families. Kiffin’s father, Monte Kiffin, 68, is the defensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Some are speculating that Dad will join son at Tennessee after the NFL season.
All the eye candy at Neyland Stadium this year will not necessarily be the college cheerleaders in Knoxville.
The biggest news from the press conference is not the football coach, but the football coach’s incredibly hot wife, Layla, who looked stunning even while being 8 1/2 months pregnant. Layla Kiffin is the daughter of former Florida Gators’ assistant coach John Reaves.
Layla made such a splash at the press conference that she became the third most searched for word on Google Trends on Monday. That’s combining the 18th ranked “Layla Kiffin” with the 27th ranked “Lane Kiffin wife.” Layla already has her own Layla Kiffin fan club web site with a less than nice URL. There also is a Facebook Layla Kiffin page.
