Does Chris Fowler Love the Red Raiders?
Da Wiz and Double T Nation has published some photos of ESPN’s Chris Fowler looking like he is cheering for the Texas Tech Red Raiders during Saturday night’s contest against Texas.
Here are two of those photos, published with the permission of ESPN, of course (kidding). The first is of the game-winning touchdown catch by Michael Crabtree. The second is from on the set of College Gameday.
Fowler is an alum of Colorado. I’m guessing he’s not too keen on either Texas Tech or the Longhorns. But c’mon, Buffs fans, which school do you have more of a rivalry with?
Understand that while these guys are broadcasters who clearly have subjectivity (they are human) they still enjoy watching great things happen. The Crabtree game winning touchdown is one example of that. As a fan of college football, its hard not to cheer, or respond in some way, when you see something great happen and down on the field.
I’m not taking up for Fowler, here, but cut the guy a little slack. Geez!
Fowler got caught, it’s funny, but it’s not really a big deal. He’s still not Kirk Herbstreit.
