Texas’ McCoy College Fantasy Football Week 4 MVP

Almost every week, College Fantasy Coach will take a look at the top players in college fantasy football. * – Weekly fantasy points are based on standard scoring totals from CBSSports.com. In week 4, college fantasy football’s player of the week was:

Colt McCoy, Quarterback, Junior (RS), Texas Longhorns

  • Week 4 Fantasy Points: 51
  • Stats: 19 completions, 412 total yards, 5 touchdowns

McCoy set the Longhorn school record for touchdowns in a career when he tossed a 5-yarder to Quan Cosby in the third quarter of Texas’ impressive 52-10 beating of Rice.

The Texas-bred, Longhorn gunslinger has shown the improvement many college athletes show between their sophomore and junior seasons. McCoy obviously has a high-ceiling for potential when you consider that he already set the single-season Longhorn record for touchdowns in a season during his freshman year.

He has quickly become a must-start in most fantasy leagues this season. On the year, McCoy has 126 fantasy points in three games. He has 63 completions, 1031 total yards on 81 passes and 25 rush attempts, and 13 touchdowns (11 pass / 2 rush).
