Top 10 Mid-Major College Fantasy Football Running Backs
Standard CBSSports.com college fantasy football leagues do not include mid-major conferences like the MAC, WAC, C-USA, and Mountain West in their league settings.
But doesn’t mean YOU can’t have players from those conferences in your player college fantasy football universe.
To help you handicap the best players you’ve probably never heard of, College Fantasy Coach has put together a top 10 list of the best college fantasy football running backs from mid-major conferences. Thanks to our main man DuBBZ for his freelance analysis.
1. Damion Fletcher, Southern Mississippi: Fletcher is a top five running back in all inclusive leagues, and most people could make a case for him as the number one running back in the game. He had 1813 total yards and 15 touchdowns last season.
2. Harvey Unga, BYU: Unga does it all for the team that tops many experts’ lists for the 2009 BCS party-crasher. He 1882 total yards, 17 touchdowns, and 44 catches in 2007. Consider Unga a top 10 back in all inclusive leagues.
3. Ian Johnson, Boise State: In his senior year, it feels like Johnson has been in college forever. Remember when he proposed to his cheerleader girlfriend during the FIesta Bowl? Last season he battled some injury but still finished with 17 touchdowns and 1353 total yards. Consider Johnson a top 10 running back in all inclusive leagues.

Rodney Ferguson, New Mexico: 1177 yards, 13 TDs.
Justin Anderson, Northern Illinois: 1508 total yards , 11 TDs, 45 rec.
Darrell Mack, Utah: 1348 Total yards, 16 TDs
Luke Lippincott, Nevada: 1420 yards, 15 TDs.
Ryan Matthews, Fresno State: 866 yards, 14 TDs
Tyrell Fenroy, UL-Lafayette: 1021 yards 7 TDs scoop him up in Sun Belt only leagues.
